Exercise has the incredible ability to boost your energy, improve your mood and even extend your life. Here are some practical tips to help you get started so you can boost your health and fitness by making exercise an enjoyable part of your routine.

Set realistic goals that inspire you. Remember everyone’s starting points are different and you need to set goals that suit YOU!

Break it down. What are the steps along the way to your end goal? Who can help you reach it?

Plan how your training will fit into your lifestyle. Think about when you will train and how long for and what that will mean. Set yourself up for success by picking the easiest time to stick to and by tying it in with current activities. Remember – it will be worth it and that small things add up to make a big difference!

Choose activities that you enjoy. If you don’t like running – don’t run!

Tell your family and friends about your goals. Let them know the best ways to encourage and support you.

Set up a training partner to meet up with. Great for accountability and to keep you both honest!

Realise you are so worth it! Make yourself a priority, book in the time and guard it! You wouldn’t break a commitment to a friend, so don’t let it happen with yourself. Put yourself first and be proud to do so!!!

Be flexible. Remember things won’t always work out perfectly, so simply brush disappointments off, pick yourself up and carry on (no looking back.)

Visualise. Think about where you want to be & how it will feel…picture yourself being there! Then consider how you will feel if you don’t achieve that?

Never, Never, Never give up!
There are thousands of people who have made incredible changes, lost huge amounts of weight, overcome chronic diseases and much more. One thing they all had in common – belief and perseverance and so can you!
